Second trip to Moulay with the gear on top of a local taxi resulted in what I declared as my "Best Day Ever" sailing. Definitely true at the time. For me (learning to wavesail / jump properly etc., and only 65kgs), a 5.4m day is perfect - powered up enough, but slow enough to allow you to think.

The waves were by far the best I've ever sailied in anywhere. I've done a little down-the-line dabbling in Ireland, but only on small waves, and in Cornwall in messy waves (I don't really count Shoreham in the same way personally!), but nothing like this. And the beauty is that it's *easier*!

I was wavesailing like a total amateur (I am one!), but still loving every second of it. Bottom-turning onto a wave and only vaguely registering that it's actually pitching above your head, but not really putting you in any danger, is a great feeling!

Different breaks worked at different times of the day too, so it meant some exploring up and down the beach to find the most fun conditions, but all were great fun. A fantastic place to sail for sure.

I was absolutely knackered at the end of the day, but remarkably I'd not taken a single bad rinsing (nothing to South Coast standards anyway). Probably means I wasn't trying hard enough.
